Erste Sitzung der frei gewählten Volkskammer
Die erste und zugleich einzige frei gewählte Volkskammer der DDR konstituiert sich am 5. April 1990 im Palast der Republik. Der 10. Volkskammer gehören - einschließlich der Nachrücker - 409 Abgeordnete an. Nur drei Prozent der Abgeordneten sind auch schon Mitglieder der 9. Volkskammer gewesen. Zu ihrer Präsidentin wählen die Abgeordneten im zweiten Wahlgang die CDU-Abgeordnete Sabine Bergmann-Pohl.
The free elections to the People’s Chamber (Volkskammer) of the German Democratic Republic on 18 March 1990 completely transformed the character of that Parliament. Under the dictatorship of the Socialist Unity Party (SED), the People’s Chamber had been a sham parliament which, with one single exception, had always rubber-stamped the decisions of the state and party leaders until the peaceful revolution in the autumn of 1989. Now it transformed itself into a democratic parliament, whose members tackled a massive workload to carve out the path to the unification of Germ

CHRISTMAS SOUVENIRS - SOUVENIRS in Cologne, Germany
When I am on the way to the Televsion Station in Cologne , I am passing the Souvenir Shop of Rahim. His has a partiality for products "Made in Germany" e.g. Kuckucksuhren (watches)from the Black Forest or Christmas angles from the city of Seiffen in Germany. The shop is near by to the cathedrale in Cologne.
